The person behind the smoke
Most people see a Saturday afternoon as a chance to relax. I see it as a chance to stress-test a pellet grill.
I'm Chris, and I've spent my career in IT in the Great Lakes Bay region. In tech, everything comes down to efficiency, data, and reliability — if a system can't perform under pressure, it's out.
A few years ago I realized I was applying that same optimization mindset to my backyard in Midland, Michigan. Whether it's braving a 0°F Michigan winter to hold a Pit Boss steady at 225°F, or mapping heat zones across a 36-inch Blackstone for the perfect smash burger — I'm obsessed with the how and the why of outdoor cooking.
Why Grill-N-Griddle?
No fluff
I don’t recommend best-selling junk. I recommend the gear I’ve actually used to feed my wife Amanda, our daughters Emmirsyn, her boyfriend Josh and Chelsie, her husband Mathew.
Deep in the details
Which pellets burn cleanest? Which spatula holds up through a three-hour griddle session? If you want the nerdy answer, you’re in the right place.
Official taste tester
Sadie — Chief Tasting Officer
Behind every great rack of ribs is an even better cleanup crew. Our Golden Retriever Sadie holds the most important title at Grill-N-Griddle. If it doesn't earn an enthusiastic tail-wag, it probably doesn't belong on your patio.
